I love Suki and Iris.

I always wanted to use Iris if I had a girl. Sadly Iris has become a little too popular for my liking... thanks Mel B!

Suki is less popular but a very pretty name.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 29/05/2009 21:49

Not Anouk or Suki!

cazzybabs · 29/05/2009 21:56

I like Iris and Suki (although i am not sure I'd use it myself - too much taking off of the kettle after Polly had put it on)

Noonki · 29/05/2009 21:58

I love iris and camille
suki is just to cutesy

Hassled · 29/05/2009 22:02

Camille is lovely.

teafortwo · 29/05/2009 22:08

Anouk sounds feminine, strong and cool - To be honest I really really like it, Wolfear...

But tell me, out of interest, what does it mean? Where is it from?

ja9 · 29/05/2009 22:10

i had a cat called suki - lol!

niccibabe · 29/05/2009 22:40

Camille or Iris. Lois is too Superman & lilo for me. Suki is cute, but does remind me of cats

CandleQueen · 29/05/2009 22:43

Suki does seem a cat name. And one of the Witches of Eastwick.

Camille is lovely, Lois under-used at the moment. Iris certainly over-used.

Boco · 29/05/2009 22:46

Hmm.
Lois is good.
Camille is nice
Iris is pretty.
Anouk sounds like an eskimo
Suki is a bit sticky.

Paolosgirl · 29/05/2009 22:54

Only like Camille. Suki sounds like a pet's name, or one of those awful nicknames gels from boarding school give each other. Anouk sounds like an Eskimo name, Lois is too American and Iris is a bit too twee.

pointydog · 29/05/2009 22:55

Anouk - no no
Suki - no no
Iris - harsh thud sound
Lois - ok
Camille - nice sound but much prefer as a french name

No to Suki

Others are fine and I think Anouk is very cool.

pointydog · 29/05/2009 22:56

will I say it again?

Spidermama · 29/05/2009 22:57

Yes to Anouk and Camille.
The others are OK but those are great.

sockmonster · 30/05/2009 13:05

No to Iris/Anouk

Yes to Camille

and strangely I like Suki!! It's a bit more of a nickname- but, I like it....

boodleboot · 30/05/2009 17:03

Anouk is quite interesting....Annie for NN?

no to others

NancyPreg · 30/05/2009 18:34

Lois is my fave off your list.

wolfear · 30/05/2009 18:37

Apparently Anouk means favoured grace. I think we could use Annie for NN.

I think it's going to be a case of deciding a name when we see this baby. May be a boy BTW...

CuppaTeaJanice · 30/05/2009 18:39

Lois was on our girls shortlist.

boodleboot · 30/05/2009 18:57

what country does Anouk traditionally hail from?
Favoured grace is a really beautiful meaning.

MaggieBee · 30/05/2009 19:07

Lois.

Very urban chic. The others are all a bit like a load of letters jumbled up.

yama · 30/05/2009 19:19

I saw Camille on another thread and realised there and then that I liked it.

Like Lois but prefer Lucy.

Not keen on the others.

Is Anouk pronounced like Nanook (of the North)?

freyaandfred · 30/05/2009 19:25

I am new here, but can I contribute? I think you don't really know until the baby's born. I was dead set on calling my baby Scarlett until she came out. Just go with your gut instinct.Suki is adorable though.
