Ariel is a boy's name in my neck of the woods!

Skye and Camille (have only just realised that I like Camille)

Isla is growing on me - slowly

Oriel- no, like ariel and oreo

Solveig- reminds me of a nordic elf man
Camille- lovely

Ariel - Little Mermaid - NO

Oriel - DH's Italian Grandma was Oriele which I think is lovely but I have 2 boys!

Avalon - Reminds me of Anne of Green Gables and is a bit pretentious!

Skye - No - bit naff

Solveig - Cant say it, sounds harsh, NO

Camille - No opinion on this one

Annabel - Both boys would have been called Annabel. So pretty and underused.

Amelie - bit too popular

Isla - Not keen

Amber - Not keen at all

Freya- Pretty but prefer Fleur

Yasmine - Prefer Jasmine

My boys, had they been girls, would have been Annabel Oriele so that gets my vote!

Solveig is pr. Sol-vey, I think. I knew a Norwegian with this name, maybe I called her wrongly all the time. I suppose it sounds a bit like Sylvia.

I don't like any of the first list but only because all the names make me think of something weird.

Solveig -Weird stig of the dump type thing, athough how do you pronounce it?
Camille -A camel

I do like the second list though, my favourites being Annabel (friend's gorgeous DD's name) and Amelie.

Sorry am just overly critical whichever name you like go for it don't worry what anyone else thinks!

Oh yes and Isla is my dogs pup but a nice name none the less.

Oriel is a type of window. Most of the others are nice, though.

Solveig is Scandinavian, I like the way it sounds - Solvie

There's a lovely piece of music "Solveig's Song" from Grieg's Peer Gynt. You may want to check out the storyline of Peer Gynt -as that's where most people in UK will have come across the name

Camille is lovely and gets my top mark. Honestly, not keen on the others in the first list. From the second list I like Freya.
