Just offering a choice

I like them both, but won't be having any DDs

Serena is a name I've always disliked, sorry. How about Sabine / Sabina?

LyraSilvertongue · 26/05/2009 21:44

What about Seren? Quite trendy but not too popular at the moment.

screamingabdab · 26/05/2009 21:47

Lyra just to digress - have looked at your profile - we have been listening to His Dark Materials audiobook with DSs (6 and 8) - what a great book! Really well read by the author, too

Lyra is a nice name .......

Well, Serena was the very cool brunette witch on "Bewitched" (I think she was Samantha's cousin) so if I were choosing on coolness factor alone, she'd win.

LessThenIdeal · 26/05/2009 21:49

I think it all depends on how you pronounce it.

If you're going to pronounce it Ser-ree-nah then no, but if you're going to pronounce it
Seh-ren-ah then absolutely yes.

screamingabdab · 26/05/2009 21:53

Ah, I was thinking of the former pronunciation .....

Screamingabdab, yes, a fantastic book (or books as there are three of them). Might be time to read them again...
You know, if I had a girl I'd be very tempted to call her Lyra (DP may disagree, however).
