Still looking for a boys name so what do you think of these? We had dismissed them as too popular but frankly we're stumped so just going with ones we like the sound of regardless of popularity (besides DS1 is Harry )
Thanks all.

Like all but Jake best

sockmonster · 23/05/2009 10:50

Oscar

Thunderduck · 23/05/2009 10:57

Oscar.

This is the picture of the type of person these names make me think of...

All successful middle class children and good adults to have around....

Oscar - charming, sensible, quiet, fairly serious about life, loyal, grounded and good to have in around in a crisis.

Jake - Nice guy. Likes to party popular with other men and loved by women - fun loving and one of those 'thoroughly nice bloke' types.

Freddie - Fun loving but in an unconvenional way (e.g juggling round a campfire), likes to travel aged 20 has really wacky hair!

I would go for a Freddie as my favourite.... sounds nice with Harry too. "Freeeedie, Haaaaaaaaarrry get in the car we are already late, boys!" sounds lovely to me.

I should go and do some work....

Freddie for me. Oscar is a bit ugly sounding and to me a dog's name. Jake is just meh.

Freddie is cool! Oh and goes fab with Harry!

Twims · 23/05/2009 11:25

Freddie

ohdearwhatamess · 23/05/2009 21:54

Freddie. My favourite boys name of all.

Paolosgirl · 23/05/2009 21:59

Like them all, but esp Freddie. Frederick is a family name, but for some reason I went off it when I had the DSs . Now I wish we'd used it for one of them.

ScummyMummy · 23/05/2009 22:01

Jake.

nooki · 23/05/2009 22:23

Frederick, nn Freddie - very cool!

Not keen on Oscar or Jake...

Marthasmama · 23/05/2009 22:25

Freddie is a lovely name and reminds me of my cousin who is gorgeous and was a really cheeky little boy, full of character. I like Oscar too, not so keen on Jake.

LyraSilvertongue · 23/05/2009 23:43

Our DS2 is Jake.
(Btw, our DS1 is also a Harry- spooky!)

LyraSilvertongue · 23/05/2009 23:43

I also know brothers called Harry and Freddie.

sleepyhead3 · 24/05/2009 08:36

I like Osca, then Freddie. Not keen on Jake.

PineappleJuice · 29/12/2010 11:49

Freddie, then Oscar. both lovely and go well with Harry. Not keen on Jake at all.

conniedescending · 29/12/2010 11:57

oscar

jake is a bit downmarket and Freddie reminds me of Kreugur

Nightstar · 29/12/2010 13:17

Oscar is the latest "We're middle class, honestly!" name. I find it pretentious and nouveau riche. Sorry anyone who has already used it, you probably got in before the trend was picked up by the 'upwardly mobile' lot

CharlieBoo · 29/12/2010 14:25

Agree with nightstar about Oscar. Also not sure about it on a grown man. LOVE Freddie, very cool and not too popular. Goes great with Harry which I also love btw.

badkitty · 29/12/2010 17:53

Freddie definately. I also have a Harry DS1 and stumped for name for DS2 - I really like Freddie but DS1's 2 best friends are Freddie so I think it might get confusing! It does go very well with Harry though!

anonandlikeit · 29/12/2010 17:55

Freddie

MrsJohnDeere · 29/12/2010 17:58

Freddie, no contest

Deffo Freddie! It's what my DS is called, after his late grandfather. I tell people his middle name is Kreuger Grin

MyDingaling · 29/12/2010 20:23

Oscar

3nearly4 · 29/12/2010 20:36

Oscar of course!

I do quite like Freddie (but would use Frederick or Wilfred/Alfred) but dislike Jake.
