One of those old classics about to come back in fashion?
or naff?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Naff. Very naff. It's awful.

helen1374 · 22/05/2009 18:16

Keith is horrible... sorry.

It belongs to our parents' generation I think really - therefore it won't be used until our children are naming their children things like Keith, Sharon, Susan, Kevin, Ian, etc., thinking that they're really old-fashioned classic names... and we're grimacing and attempting not to express our horror...

LaDiDaDi · 22/05/2009 18:17

Horrid. Please don't use it.

lljkk · 22/05/2009 18:32

I like Keith a lot , but there are others I like better iyswim.

bluebump · 22/05/2009 18:36

I had a boyfriend whose middle name was Keith, his first name was Clive poor chap - bear in mind he is only in his mid 30's now. Nice guy but naff name.

oopsacoconut · 22/05/2009 18:42

tiredemma · 22/05/2009 21:15

awful name. especially for anyone under the age of 45

nooka · 23/05/2009 06:42

I think that Keith will come back, but not for a good 30 years or so, when all the Stanleys and Archies and Pearls and Marthas have their children and think woudln't it be nice to call the baby after great-uncle Keith/Kevin/Sharon etc.

You are just a little out of synch. However that does mean if you do choose a name like that your child will not be one of many.

Personally I'm not particularly fond of Keith, or Kevin. dh is a Jason, he seems to like it , and I prefer it to Justin. I don't think there is anything wrong with names from that generation, they are just out of fashion.

jambutty · 23/05/2009 06:50

This really is a matter of fashion, isn't it? If you're not taking the p* and you like it, why not? I knew loads of Keiths in school.

Littlefish · 23/05/2009 07:42

Keith, Kevin, Darren, Wayne - all unacceptable at the moment I'm afraid.

BottySpottom · 24/05/2009 12:30

Nooooooooooooo

Sorry

bumptwitkknocker · 03/06/2009 12:09

It's awful. I'd be embarrassed to be called Keith until I was at least 80.

PuppyMonkey · 03/06/2009 12:12

DP calls his car Keith. You know, in a jokey manner because his car is a naff Fiat Doblo.

jumpingbeans · 03/06/2009 12:14

I like Kefier(sp)
