Killing time while the football's on (and deliberating the new DC's name) I came across the US White Pages which tell you in which state your name is most popular...

It also tells you the most popular surname for that name. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the large Hispanic population but my DS's very definite Jewish name has 'Garcia' as the most common surname. It still sounds strange together!

My husband's Somerset based English surname has Carlos as the third most popular first name!
