It sounds sticky to me!

Rose is a pretty middle name though.

Wouldnt want to be the age I am now and called Honey to be honest with you.

DuffyFluckling · 21/04/2009 19:23

I like it too, but most of Mumsnet won't.

marytumble · 21/04/2009 19:25

Is Honey actually a real name? for a person I mean.

MadameCastafiore · 21/04/2009 19:25

Sounds like it should have a hyphen and be said in a trailer park in a southern US drawl to me!

nickytwotimes · 21/04/2009 19:25

Honey? Seriously?
What if she becomes a solicitor or something? BY all means give call her honey as a nickname, but not as a proper name.

TheCrackFox · 21/04/2009 19:25

I like Rose but Honey is well, how to put this nicely, a bit too Eastendery for me.

CountessDracula · 21/04/2009 19:26

Hunny is nicer

rubyslippers · 21/04/2009 19:27

No to Honey

Rose is very pretty IMO

andlipsticktoo · 21/04/2009 19:27

Love it!

Love the name Honeysuckle too, but Honeysuckle Rose would be too much!

GossipMonger · 21/04/2009 19:27

oooh yes CD - Hun for short!

NakedInnocence · 21/04/2009 19:28

Rose is pretty - very unsure about Honey - definate no to the two together!

What does he like about Honey?

onebatmother · 21/04/2009 19:28

Honey IS a proper name - pretty, but perhaps a little bit sickly.

We were considering Georgia Rose ..

troutpout · 21/04/2009 19:30

No

branchofreason · 21/04/2009 19:30

To make it even classier you could spell it:

Honey-Rosé

hedgiemum · 21/04/2009 19:31

Honey short for Honeysuckle would be gorgeous!

branchofreason · 21/04/2009 19:32

Suckle short for Honeysuckle isn't great though is it?

Nancy66 · 21/04/2009 19:34

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: There are other middle names besides Rose.

noddyholder · 21/04/2009 19:36

Either name is lovely on its own but together no.Agree the glut of rose as second name is growing

onebatmother · 21/04/2009 19:43

lol branch of reason

we did realize that georgia-rose was wrong.

We eventually settled on Houston-Texas

Leannabanana · 21/04/2009 20:04

bit twee / lapdancer ish! lol

willowthewispa · 21/04/2009 22:27

I love the name Honey! Rather predictable that Mumsnet wouldn't like it, but it's lovely. I think it's no different from Daisy, Poppy, Lola in terms of lawyer/Prime Minister potential.
