I love Edward shortedned to Ted. DH has been saying Edward is too posh for us and will not consider it.

Last night he said the real reason he wont have Edward is because he thinks it will be shortened to Eddie which he hates.

Can you help me convince him that he will not become an Eddie if he is always known as Ted?

Do you have an Edward or know one that isnt called Eddie and do you think that an Edward is destined to bedcome an Eddie?

That's true jellybeans.

I've never been a fan of names like 'Alfie' or 'Freddie' going on a birth certificate though and wondered if Ted fell into the same category?

I think it (Ted) sounds less 'babyish' than those names although they are OK.

I think maybe Ted does sound less like a nickname than the other names?
