Which do you prefer, if either, for a first name? Older sisters already have Daisy, Violet and Ivy between them and would like to continue the theme!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

TBH neither... Clover - spread, Primrose - one of Fifi's friends!

What about keeping the 'flowery' name for the middle name again?

MadameCastafiore · 11/04/2009 16:16

Are you giving birth to a cow?

ItsMargotBeaurEGGarde · 11/04/2009 16:18

Clover definitely. Primrose is so buttoned up. A real dot cotton sort of name.

everGreensleeves · 11/04/2009 16:21

how about

Fleur
Iris
Jasmine
Celandine

BunnyLebowski · 11/04/2009 17:55

Clover is lovely

Not keen on Primrose but that's probably because where I come from (Northern Ireland) it's a name solely for staunch old protestant ladies not cute wee babies!

Mooseheart · 11/04/2009 18:00

Neither. Primrose is the better of the two though.

Gunnerbean · 11/04/2009 18:04

I can imagine Primrose being shortened to Primmy which sounds a bit prissy to me and shortening to Prim sounds even worse.

Clover sounds like the name a farmer would give his favourite cow.

Just my thoughts - please feel free to totally ignore!

Tinker · 11/04/2009 18:43

Harold Shipman's wife was Primrose. Don't like it anyway.

foxytocin · 11/04/2009 18:46

wot tinker said. and clover reminds me of butter or a cartoon sheep - not shaun

cupofteaplease · 11/04/2009 18:53

Hmm- well I guess I did ask for opinions!

I think I like Primrose best, so would probably choose that name.

Dh has now suggested Bluebell- I told him there has recently been a whole other thread about that name!

I will keep looking, as I am fascinated by names and think it's such a big decision to make. I'm glad I went with my gut feeling for my other dc's names though, so I assume I'll do the same again this time.

Thanks for the input

No, they both sound like something from a bad kids' tv prog.
