We live in France and DH is dead keen on Maelys for our daughter (Mah-eh-lys), a Breton name. I'm not so sure it works in English. What do think??? Thanks!

I love the idea of My-elise pronunication. So easy to explain!
I also like Maelys with Elisabeth as a second name. I had thought about it ... but wondered if might be a bit of a mouthful - both being rather long names. But maybe not.
What else might go well with Maelys? Any other suggestions? What do you think?

If its got 3 sylls' My - el - ise
i think you need a short/er middle name

eg

Maelys Grace
