Is it just Montogmery or are there others?

Montague

Montelimar
Montezuma

Of course I meant Montgomery, although Montogmery does sound rather nice

You see DH and I both quite like Monty but would want to give DC a long name that can be shortened rather than just the shortened version.

Not sure about any of them though.

If you want him to be called Monty, name him Monty. Otherwise he will find a different way of shortening his name - and you won't like it.

Montmorency (after the dog in Three Men in a Boat) for extra poncification?

Uncle Monty in Withnail and I is Montagu.

Both DDs have long names which we shorten but they have other alternatives for shortening when they get older and decide they don't like their name (like I did!) so I'd rather give DC3 the same choice.

I think p'raps Montgomery and Montague are possibly the least poncetastic

Aw go on. Montezuma would be way cooler!

thumbbunny · 07/04/2009 22:27

aooww, all mine have been said already!

Montague
Montmorency
Montelimar
Montgomery

Montezuma is a good one too.
How about Montreal?

Mont Blanc. A posh pen?
