I keep waiting for baby name inspiration that never comes!

I knew what I wanted to call DD when she was born and although my stubborn husband didn't give in, at least I had a bit of passion on the subject. Now I've got 5 weeks to go until DC is due and don't really feel strongly about any name. In fact, I have to force myseld to think about it! Am I alone out here?

Nope I am in exactly the same situation - nothing is jumping out at me! And it doesnt help DD has a slightly unusual name so dont want a traditional name - which is all DH is comming up with!!

We had more trouble with DS2s name, because we thought we'd used the only boys name we would ever agree on for DS1 (we knew we were having another boy)

It was also important for me that DS1 had an unusual name, whereas for DS2 i didn't care so much.

We ended up with quite a short list of names that were "alright", and then waited to see what he looked like. Very happy with the choice, it really suits him.

I think that there's all this spotlight and obsession on your first baby, nothing is ever going to be like that for the subsequent ones (lucky for them, you could argue).
