Personally, I'm a bit fed up of Zac, there seem to be quite a few around, at least around here! If I had to chose, I'd say Zephaniah

tummytickler · 30/03/2009 11:29

I like Zebediah.
Agree to many Zacs

LetThemEatCake · 30/03/2009 11:47

i agree about Zachs too. AM leaning twds Zephaniah or Zebediah. Middle name though? Would have been Alexander with either of the Zachs. We like to give our children a nice but too out there middle name (Isabella and William, so far) to balance out their unusual first names

Whatever you choose people will shorten it. so do you prefer Zeb, Zeph or Zach?

LetThemEatCake · 30/03/2009 12:06

Zeph I think. Zephy when he (if it is a he) is a baby

LetThemEatCake · 30/03/2009 12:07

and good thinking - thanks, had not thought of it like that

sinpan · 30/03/2009 12:14

Zephaniah, or Zeph, definitely.

You might be in on the start of a new trend to judge by the posts here

EdwardCullensWife · 30/03/2009 12:14

Zeph would be my choice too

LetThemEatCake · 30/03/2009 12:24

sinpan - eh? not sure I follow.

My nephew is called Zachariah - another to add to the list maybe?

LetThemEatCake · 30/03/2009 13:19

Zachariah is nice ... a nice mix of the names, really. But I think I am leaning this way:

Zephaniah
Zacchaeus
Zebediah
Zacharius

Zaki

LetThemEatCake · 30/03/2009 13:23

Dangerous names unless you can guarantee your DS is going to grow up to be übercool.

MrsMattie · 30/03/2009 13:26

None of them, really. Sorry. I love biblical names, but I think Zachary/Zachariah are nice (although done to death) and all the others just aren't as nice.

LetThemEatCake · 30/03/2009 13:41

you think you need to be cool for these names, really?

[pondering face]

DD is called Phoenix and DS is called Cassian - are they dangerous names?

it's such a bloody minefield.

MrsM. you never showed me your 4 dresses, was dying to see.

Zephaniah, then Zachary. Don't like Zeb sorry.
Zeph my clear fave. Isn't there a train on Chuggington called Zephy?

I like Zeph and Zeb and Zachary. Not keen on others.

Claire2009 · 30/03/2009 14:36

I like Zeb & Zachary also.

LetThemEatCake · 30/03/2009 23:20

Oh, it's got to be Zephaniah

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Zephaniah

literature, veganism ... all of the things I hold dear.

Stumped on a middle name though. Benjamin might be pushing it a wee bit.

LaDiDaDi · 30/03/2009 23:31

Zephaniah, definitely.

ScottishThistle · 30/03/2009 23:35

Love Zeph, Zac is very common. If we're on Z's, Zander is a personal fave of mine.

LetThemEatCake · 30/03/2009 23:38

I love Zander, but dh won't have it. Says it reminds him of Sander, which reminds him of the floorboards which he still hasn't done.

Zephaniah seems to be a clear winner!!
