Whats your take on Eden for a girl?

It's a good job we're all different then as I could never inflict the name Edith on any child of mine. Yuk.

My friend has called her dd2 Eden & calls her Edie as a nickname..

It suits her

lastboxoftampons · 30/03/2009 13:50

I love it, but Dh was not keen.

My son goes to school with an Eden (girl), I quite like it, love the name Edie.

branflake81 · 30/03/2009 16:25

Have to say I don't like it.

PheasantPlucker · 30/03/2009 16:28

I don't like it, but love Edie.

Don't like 'Neveah' either, and somehow associate it with Eden.

RachieB · 30/03/2009 19:46

I like it ,but not keen on NN Edie ( old lady name to me!)

BabyBaby123 · 30/03/2009 19:49

i like it

CountessDracula · 30/03/2009 19:50

ok if your surname isn't lake

Seems a bit US soap-operish to me. Didn't one of the Desperate Housewives lot call her twins Savannah and Eden..? The two names have a similar sort of lightweight feel.

Prefer Eve or Eva, to be honest.

My daughter is called Eden and she is nearly 2. Her middle name is Rose, and I love the slightly hippy side to it.

She often gets comliments on it, and is the only Eden we in her nursery.

I love Eden but really dislike Edith, so too sure on the nn Edie...
