am not going to find out the sex and find boys names really hard. If girl, will be Anoushka

dd and ds both have 'unusual names': think myths and legends, winged horses, very evocative of that sort of thing.
So need something that kind of works with those. Not Stanley, for instance.

Love the letters x, s, j, z, q, i,

so funny GM- cassius and casper were both on the list for ds - we ended up going for Cassian.

zachariah - am currently considering Zacchaeus and Zacharus, as per my pther thread

Xander - love it, dh says reminds him of "sander" which reminds him of the floorboards that he still hasn't done

maximus - I just couldn't!

Xerxes - Dh would hit the roof

ooh your profile pics of your wedding dress look fab! Where did you get married?

LetThemEatCake · 27/03/2009 21:48

Cassian, Phoenix and Zacharus?

Why can you do Cassian but not Maximus?
because of size-related thing. Spent a night in a Mexican beachside hotel a few years ago listening through the walls to the most agonsingly painful sex ever! and it went on all night, the poor girl was whimpering like a wounded puppy, and not in pleasure.
The bloke's name was Massimo

Quite like Zion!! Love Seth, but DH says sounds like the name of a dark lord.

Orion is lovely

bloody hell I forgot they were there. Got married in Australia, about 4 hours north of sydney, in a grove of palm trees on a lake. Magic!

Was 13 w pregnant with our first child then (sadly lost at 19 weeks) - her name was Star Anielka.

beautiful names

Orion goes well. Is that Or-y-an?

LetThemEatCake · 27/03/2009 21:56

partly the reason why we chose Phoenix - rising again, symbol of hope, eternal life, rebirth etc

I think it's O-RI-ON. It's greek, I think? a constellation?

Yes O-ri-on. Orion was a hunter in Greek mythology.

GossipMonger · 27/03/2009 21:59

ooh no! You dont want lovely names spoilt with a Ryan (not that Ryan is awful)

It needs to be a stand on it's own sort of name.

LetThemEatCake · 28/03/2009 09:38

some lovely Z choices here

Zephaniah - beautiful!!!

Hi LTEC - have you looked here? A gal after my own heart, I thought. (Didn't help us though, 39+5 and we are still arguing, despite my superstitious belief it is the lack of a name keeping this baby in!)

ScottishThistle · 02/04/2009 00:56

Evander?
