not too girly girls names

Our baby girl is due in 8 weeks and I'm still not sure on names. Our current favourites are Phoebe and Amelie but I'm not 100% happy with them at the moment. I think they might be a little too cutesy.
If I give you some names that I really like but can;t use maybe someone can give me some inspiration of similar sorts of names that might work:

Erin (doesn't go with surname)
Bryony (can;t have B names with surname as it begins with O!)
Sorrel - OH doesn;t like
Romilly- OH doesn't like

Thank you

Thanks DLI. from your list I like Chloe but there is already one in the close family.
I love the meaning of Felicity but it is a bit too flouncy for me!
Kaitlin is nice but the last baby born at work was called Caitlin & I don't want to seem as if I've copied.
Fussy aren't I?!

Wow MrsMattie - you are right on the mark! I love all those names except Greta and Olive.
Cora and Laurel were on my list at the beginning & I'm not sure why they came off now...

Hmm, quite like Harriet & Emma but not overstruck on the other suggestions.
I think I prefer names with more than 1 syllable & names ending in a tend to 'run into' our surname too much if you don;t take care to pronounce them separately (which might be why Cora & Emma came off the original list)
Perhaps the perfect name just doesn't exist!

tigerdriver · 21/03/2009 23:12

the only girl's name is: Harriet.

She has to be the captain of the hockey team and no one will mess with her.
