Is Ulysses useable??? It is dh all time favourite and i quite like it, it just seems rather grand on a baby.

I like Dudley and Harold

Cedric - my very favourite - no, it reminds me of a dodgy relative.
Bernard - my 2nd - OK.
Dougal - dh fav - I like it
Douglas - A good solid name
Clarence - only if you can pay private school fees.
Cosmo - fantastic - very, very cool. I love it.
Dudley - very cute, unless you live near Dudley.
Django- no
Ephraim - no
Franklin - no
Harold - Hooray for Harrold Lloyd.
Herbert - Herbie is cool.
Gilbert- no.
Ishmael now, this is quite cool, if quirky.
Japheth - no
jethro -sounds like death row
Morris - The only child I know called Morris is like an old man.
Mordecai - no - "mord" at the begining of a name is not good.
Obadiah - blow the fire huff, huff, puff
Odin - really?
Ulysses - Go on, I dare you!

Love your DC's name btw. Cedric is too similar to Amos iyswim and makes Amos which is quite cool on it's own seem more old fashioned. Herbie goes well as does Morris.

Douglas, OK. That's about it.

tummytickler, is this for your 5th child...? In which case have you considered Quentin, which derives from the latin meaning fifth...

tummytickler · 21/03/2009 12:28

Hi - yes i really like Quentin - but dh not very keen at all! I like it for the mn though.

Ephraim and ishmael both great names.

The rest -nah! A bit too much poncery for me

branflake81 · 21/03/2009 12:47

I have to say I think they are all pretty unusable with the exception of maybe Douglas or Morris
