Can't decide - which way round for our possible boy name, what do you think?

We don't know for sure but we suspect we are having a baby boy and have struggled a LOT with names. We've pretty much narrowed it down to two names now (I think??!!)

Seamus and Jasper.

BUT - Seamus Jasper or Jasper Seamus? I am leaning towards Jasper as the first name, mainly because I really don't like Shay/Shea -and there's bound to be someone who does that IYKWIM! What do you reckon?

I just hope he doesn't have a lisp
Personally I like Jasper

EdwardBear · 15/03/2009 12:19

Jasper Seamus runs together a lot more smoothly imo.

I'd put them that way round (even though I love Seamus and Shay!)

diedandgonetodevon · 15/03/2009 12:21

I prefer Jasper Seamus

LadyPinkofPinkerton · 15/03/2009 12:22

I love Jasper, it is a lovely name. So Jasper seamus for me

edam · 15/03/2009 12:23

Jasper Seamus. But are you sure you want two S sounds + an SH? Feels like a lot in four syllables.

EyeballsintheSky · 15/03/2009 12:24

I'd ditch the Jasper. Seamus is a great name but needs a more straightforward name to follow.

curlykiela · 15/03/2009 12:28

i agree jasper seamus sounds better, you could always have both as a first name [jasper-seamus].that way you can let him choose when his older which one he prefers too use good-luck

MuppetsMuggle · 15/03/2009 12:30

I love Jasper

I think Seamus Jasper sounds better.

clareok · 15/03/2009 12:37

I honestly didn't think about all the S sounds LOL!!!

These are seriously the only two names we've come up with, so putting them together seemed like an excellent idea

I guess if I liked James I would've mentioned that - completely not my cup of tea at all....though Jago is if you are looking for variants of James, can't use it as we have Arlo already... this baby naming malarkey is more difficult each time!

I love both i do think Jasper Seamus flows better but I think like seamus as a first name better

Leannabanana · 16/03/2009 18:43

Seamus is nice......jasper is not....

Seamus George i think....

Tortington · 16/03/2009 18:45

jazz or shay

either way its a bit gansta

janeite · 16/03/2009 18:47

I like Jasper. It does sound quite 'hissy' when put with Seamus though. Jasper for the first name deffo.

clareok · 16/03/2009 20:12

custardo....JAZZ??? How very dare you!

I am seriously having a rethink, this whole boy name thing is seriously doing my head in! I could name a girl several times over!
