I'm so rubbish at choosing, even thinking of girls names

We want something unique, but timeless. Pretty, but not overly floral. Oh, and no 'old' people names please

Any help/suggestion would be much appreciated!

Can you give us any idea of what you "almost like" IYKWIM?
Also do you have other dc and if so what are their names?

BrownSuga · 14/03/2009 17:01

Erin
Laurel
Juniper

SheWillBeLoved · 14/03/2009 17:03

Ses - no other DC, this is our first

Names that have been floating around are along the lines of Arianna, Allie, Grace, Talia...

Nothing seems to stick or seem right though!

Thanks everyone so far I feel like such a pain in the arse even asking because of the amount of threads asking the same thing!

Some nice suggestions Irish/Italian names are a good route I suppose, me being the leprechaun, DP being the dark handsome Italian

Juliet, Rachel, Susie, Beth or Ellen. They are all quite timeless. None is 'unique' but there's a fair chance they'd be the only one in their own age group.

MsBeauregarde · 14/03/2009 17:47

commenting on your list

Arianna - far too frilly. Marianne or Arianne are both much more elegant. Annabel is quite timeless. There are some middleaged ones and some baby ones.

Allie - ok. short for Alice? Allie/Ali is quite unisex which I wouldn't be mad about.

Grace - I like Gracie, but what about Honor or Joy. Saying that, nothing is going to date a child more than a virtue name. I still like them though.

Talia - not keen. I like Natasha/Sasha more than Natalia/Talia....
