I have twin DD's and am expecting my 3rd in July. Still haven't decided on names and not sure if boy or girl. Prefer traditional names but would love MN opinion / suggestions. Thanks so much in advance! Here's the shortlist:
Boys
Henry
Edward
Rupert

Girls
Harriet
Annabel
Beatrice
Sophie

They are all good names.

I vote Henry and either Harriet or Annabel.

My two cousins are called Charlotte and Eliza and have older sibs called Rebekah and Mary.....

I don't like any of your boys I'm afraid but love both Harriet and Beatrice....Sophie a bit too mainstream now for me.....

Cies · 13/03/2009 11:44

I like them all

If it were my child I would probably go with Edward or Sophie (I actually prefer Harriet but it's SIL's name).

Agree with FO's post!

Am I the only person old enough to always think Rupert is a Bear?

EsmeWatson · 13/03/2009 21:45

Thanks everyone for your opinions. Harriet is definitely my favourite for a girl. Only worry it might sound a tad similar to Charlotte. Do you agree??

Harriet goes very weel with Charlotte and Eliza. What lovely names.

Edward and Henry/Harry are lovely as well.

belgo · 14/03/2009 10:53

Sophie is very popular, as is Lucy. Annabel always reminds me of a cow, not sure why.

Beatrice is lovely.

treacletart · 14/03/2009 11:16

Love Eliza and Charlotte - I like Beatrice best of your girl choices. Imogen goes well with them and I'm also a big Agatha fan.

Of your boys names I like Edward best - I like that it can be shortened to so many variations - ted, ned, ed etc also think Oliver works well with the girls names you like

changename1 · 14/03/2009 11:42

rebecca?
sarah?
victoria?
laura?

If had to choose would go for Harriet or Beatrice or Henry or Edward. Rose, May or Sophie would go well as middle names (if you haven't got them already) or William/Thomas for the the boy's middle name?

Also wonder if you like Florence as seems similar type to your girls names?

Rupert is very sweet but am not sure if it will "age" as well but maybe that's just me trying to imagine a 50-year old rupert.....

MsBeauregarde · 14/03/2009 12:34

Lovely names your girls have.

Juliet, Annabel or Beatrix for girls. Sophie is lovely but Susie has the same vibe and is a little different.

Edward, Dominic, Peter, George or Marcus for a boy.

Not at all keen on Henry or Rupert.

LuciaRose · 16/03/2009 11:23

I love all your choices, but I think Harriet or Henry would go best with Charlotte and Eliza. To me, botht those names have a Jane Austen feel to them.

Lydia or Amelia would be nice for girls. Or George or William for boys.

Charlotte, Eliza and Harriet
Charlotte, Eliza and William
Charlotte, Eliza and Amelia
Charlotte, Eliza and George
Charlotte, Eliza and Henry
Charlotte, Eliza and Lydia
Charlotte, Eliza and Cassandra?
