yep can't see why not.

Meglet · 01/03/2009 10:44

my friend has, it's rather sweet.

DanJARMouse · 01/03/2009 10:46

yes.

I have a Jessica and a Rebecca

LynetteScavo · 01/03/2009 10:47

I would - And Rosa is much nicer than any of the names on your other thread.

Poppyscock · 01/03/2009 10:52

Lynette that is also DH's opinion

I have friend Nicola her sisters are Angela and Pamela.

I don't see a problem.

Mind you the three I know are known as Nikki, Angie and Pam!

MrsMattie · 01/03/2009 11:11

Yes - in fact, if I ever had another girl I would actively seek a name that ended in 'a' like my DD's.

Rose is lovely and equally simple and beautiful to Eva.

dizzydance · 01/03/2009 11:22

Yes definitely. They are both really lovely names.

keels26 · 01/03/2009 13:18

My friends name ends in 'a' and so does her 4 sisters names. Think its quite sweet and you dont always realise unless someone points it out too you.

Poppyscock · 01/03/2009 13:35

I think we've decided on Rosa then

I have two dds with four letter names ending an a. I think they sound lovely together. I also think rosa is a great name. Some very strong women have been called rosa eg. Rosa Parkes and Rosa Luxembourg.

missymoo2411 · 01/03/2009 19:45

i have don it with my ds2,3 ending in y olivia ,laila r nice 2

fruitymum · 01/03/2009 19:48

yes - just thinking the same! Already have an Eva and thinking of Anna or Isla if next one is a girl.

letswiggle · 01/03/2009 19:59

Just think, in Italy practically every single woman's name ends in "a" (noone under about 80 is called Rosa though!)

conniedescending · 01/03/2009 20:03

my girls names end in a

rosa and eva is lovely combo

Leannabanana · 01/03/2009 20:59

I think it was wordsworth who wrote a beautiful poem about a Rosabelle - why not have that instead if you don't want it to end in another a?

pointydog · 01/03/2009 21:01

rosa and eva are both lovely.

pointydog · 01/03/2009 21:02

rosabelle is too twee

Wheelybug · 02/03/2009 16:23

We have one ending in A and if DC2 is a girl she is going to have a name ending in A (as there are only 2 names we can vaguely reach a consensus on and they both end in A).

MumOfBaby · 02/03/2009 16:23

I love Eva and Rosa, well done on your impecable taste.

Also like Isla.

bolshybolshevik · 03/03/2009 09:48

Thanks mumofbaby

BonsoirAnna · 03/03/2009 09:49

Yes - there are so many girls' names ending in the suffix -a that it is not a problem.

belgo · 03/03/2009 10:04

It's fine, but I prefer Rose.

RachieB · 03/03/2009 11:04

they are lovely names

its not as if you have chosen eg Anabella and Isabella which would / could be shortened to the same NN !

or Eva and Ava which are too similar
