Surname type names for DC3

I'm surprising myself by starting a thread in this topic but as this pregnancy progresses I am finding myself thinking about names more and more...

I currently have 2 DSs - Harrison James and Austen John. I don't know (yet!) whether DC3 is a girl or a boy but I wanted a name in keeping with my sons' names. Currently I am thinking about either Darcy/Darcey or Lauren for a girl (middle name will be Rachel) but am really struggling for boys names.

DH can't think about it until much nearer the time/baby actually born other than to veto all my suggestions so he's not much use!

Any suggestions?

Came across a Sheridan and a Todd today, neither of which have been mentioned yet.

Cooper

Podrick · 28/02/2009 18:25

Jackson is the best one imo

LunarSea · 28/02/2009 18:52

Cooper, along with Riley and the yet to be mentioned Jensen, probably don't work if you've already got an Austen - sounds a bit too much like a vintage car rally when you put them together!

Walker.
I love this, ds didnt suit it then (but does now )

Weegiemum · 28/02/2009 22:38

at using Rachel as a middle name. Its my dd2's first name and you don't hear anything like enough of them these days!

2HotCrossBunsAnd1InTheOven · 28/02/2009 23:34

I agree, you don't! It's my middle name and seems to have escaped the "Friends" thing, unlike Phoebe. We are going down the route of a "safe" middle name in case they hate their more unusual first names. Although DS1 (who is 3.9) says "I'm not Harrison, I'm Ben10" .

I'm finding it all a bit tricky as whilst my DSs' names are "surnames" they are not too modern as first names iyswim - both Harrison and Austen/Austin were names 50 odd years ago.

But surely for surname type names as forenames, you should just mine your own family tree?

Thank you for all your suggestions. We had our scan this week and the sonographer thinks it's a girl! Can't quite believe it at the moment...
Anyway DH has vetoed (for the moment ) Lauren which just leaves us with Darcy (think we will spell it without an "e"). Any other suggestions to go with Harrison and Austen?

Parker? - I loved Parker and Hudson but DH has vetoed them!
