I posted a little while ago with the name Genevieve Laura. I've also come up with Arabella Cecile and Annabel Cecilia - please be brutally honest!

prefer annabel to arabella myself.... think either middle name is ok.

LuciaRose · 25/02/2009 15:26

Any more opinions on these combos?

I think that Annabel Cecile runs the best (I know it wasn't quite one of your options), but I prefer the name Arabella.

kayzr · 25/02/2009 15:31

I love Arabella and both middle names.

diedandgonetodevon · 25/02/2009 15:33

Arabella's lovely

bodiddly · 25/02/2009 15:34

How about Annabella Cecilia?

LuciaRose · 25/02/2009 15:41

I was thinking that Arabella Cecile and Genevieve Laura might make good names for sisters?

Arabella and Geneveive - Bella and Evie

Arabella sounds like a girl with lots of ponies from a Jilly Cooper novel. Sorry... did you mean it about the brutal honesty??

AnybodyHomeMcFly · 25/02/2009 18:43

Pref Annabel to Arabella - agree w/ PP it's a bit horsey

AnybodyHomeMcFly · 25/02/2009 18:44

Annabel could still be Bella for your sisters idea

LaDiDaDi · 25/02/2009 18:46

I much prefer Annabel Cecilia.

I prefer Annabel

Leo9 · 25/02/2009 18:55

I think Cecile is just the most beautiful name on this thread, why not use that?!

I much prefer your middle names. Cecile and Laura - very stylish and classy and pretty.

Genevieve and Arabella - bit fussy and contrived.

IMVHO.

pointydog · 25/02/2009 19:06

really not keen on any of those names. I'd pick Laura.

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 25/02/2009 19:06

I think the four syllables of Arabella need a one-syllable name to follow, for balance. So, Arabella Grace, Arabella Hope, Arabella Jane etc. But, on their own, all the names you suggest are lovely.

bytheLiffey · 25/02/2009 19:12

Annabel Cecile definitely, hate Arabella.

Annabel Cecily would be even nicer!

Arabella is a bit pompous, and Arabella Cecilia is too many As. Jmo.

Also, Annabel can be Annie but Arabella lacks an obvious short form.

CDMforever · 22/03/2009 22:19

My 7 month dd's name is Arabella Rose Cicely and I'm still totally in love with all of these names.

Sheeta · 22/03/2009 22:20

neither. reeks snobbishness if you ask me.

sorry.

piscesmoon · 22/03/2009 22:22

Annabel Cecilia

PottyCock · 22/03/2009 22:23

The second option. I am speaking from experience.

mollymawk · 22/03/2009 22:28

Cecilia is lovely. Why not have that? (I have DD who might have been Cecilia if it did not sound absolutely ludicrous with our surname). Not so keen on the others though.

aGalChangedHerName · 22/03/2009 22:38

Brutally honest?? Really?

Both horrible IMO.

ZZZen · 22/03/2009 22:39

quite like Cecilia

evamariesmummy · 23/03/2009 09:10

I wouldn't use Cecilia based on its meaning....
