dh thinks this is an old lady name, I think is quite lovely and due a renaissance. Don't want to give a name that's too unusual or old fashioned, what do you think?

My Godmother...lovely lady but definately in the blue rinse brigade...perhaps old lady chic?

My mums name (in her 70s) and she hates it with a passion. Always known as Phyl, and she even hates that.

(Mind you, she did give my sister an equally crap name that she hates with a passion, so maybe got her own back!)

DDs' school has a Phyllis, a Phyllida and a Florence. Phyllis is a stunning child and the name really suits her.
