Can Kit be short for anything other than christopher?

I love the name Kit, but not the name Christopher. Any suggestions?

The only Kit is now is just Kit. If you like it, I don't see the problem.

It can be short for Christian too. But if you like the name Kit as it is, why not just go with that? It doesn't have to be short for anything.

There is a Dick Francis novel in which 'Kit' is short for 'Christmas'.

I knew a girl called Kit but I'm not sure if it was short for anything - Catherine perhaps? (It was also Kit on her business card so it might just be Kit.)
