Poppy Molly or is that to twee?

snifflewitch · 15/02/2009 18:44

not easy... it is why dd did not end up poppy, in the end

we were heading for Poppy Marina, or Poppy Zara, but both were outvoted as the one she got in the end suited her better

Woppy is nice

snifflewitch · 15/02/2009 18:48

BuwchBywiog · 15/02/2009 19:46

Sparklyblue · 15/02/2009 19:51

I have a Poppy Kate, she is gorgeous and a complete monkey!

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 15/02/2009 20:46

Poppy Ann/Anne is the only one I've read here so far that kind of rolls together nicely imo

HandbagCrumb · 15/02/2009 20:52

Poppy Maria

shortcircuit · 15/02/2009 21:22

Poppy Hannah ?

TooFoggy · 16/02/2009 08:27

I've changed my mind! Poppy Kate is perfect!

fizzpops · 16/02/2009 08:41

I have a Poppy Emma but imo would not go with an M surname. Too many m's.

I wanted Poppy Elizabeth for DD! DH doesn't like the name Poppy but I think it's wonderful

gladders · 16/02/2009 16:09

no no no - has to be

Poppy Madeleine

threewisemonkeys · 16/02/2009 16:21

I have a Poppy, no middle name but was thinking of adding Elizabeth as a middle name for family reasons and also because she could have her pick of traditional names if she doesn't want to be 'one of the Poppys' as she grows up! (Liz, Beth etc)

Wish now I'd chosen something less popular as a first name to be honest!

Bathsheba · 16/02/2009 17:38

My Poppy is Poppy Charlotte

threewisemonkeys · 16/02/2009 17:41

Sparklyblue · 16/02/2009 19:11

dd2 was going to be Poppy Kate but ended up getting Poppy as middle name instead. Poppy Kate is definitely the best combo here, well done xmummykatex!

SalmonintheLiffey · 16/02/2009 21:08

Poppy Beatrice
Poppy Juliet
Poppy Annabel
Poppy Elizabeth

Somthing classic and not at all cute.

choosyfloosy · 16/02/2009 21:14

Poppy Blanche
Poppy Cara
Poppy [her birthday month] - e.g. Poppy September sounds amazing, Poppy June kinda cute, Poppy February perhaps not?] Or maybe her birthstone? Poppy Diamond, Poppy Sapphire, Poppy Emerald (not Poppy Ruby though?)

I seem to be going the hippyish route. Poppy Juliet I do like as well though.

I have a daughter called Poppy-Olivia. Her surname begins with a P so her initials are POP
