Struggled last time and luckily had a boy - Noah. We're agreed on Edward this time but still can't decide on girls name. Please help us choose:

Audrey or Claudia ?????

I like all your names - Love Noah - and Claudia - also like Agatha very much which I can see as a sort of cross between Audrey and Claudia......

MitchyInge · 14/02/2009 09:03

I never know whether to pronounce Claudia Cloudier or Clawedier

MrsSeanBean · 14/02/2009 09:15

Agree girls' names big problem.
I prefer Claudia, very nice.

sonniboo · 14/02/2009 10:14

The meaning of Claudia is not nice at all.... And even if not everyone is aware of a name's meaning, I wouldn't want my dd to discover it one day. Shame, as it is a beautiful name!

SalmonintheLiffey · 14/02/2009 12:30

Claudia. Not a fan of Audrey.

clubfoot · 14/02/2009 16:57

I agree treacletart. There are plenty of agnes and agathas here in london. Audrey is similar but for me, a bit softer.

How about giving an out-of-vogue name an airing? What about these: Maud, Doris, Edna, Rita, Thelma?

lunamoon2 · 15/02/2009 15:37

Claudia

x

fattiemumma · 15/02/2009 15:40

Audrey.

it's lovely and i think it will be a popular name in the future.

Wigglesworth · 15/02/2009 15:43

Sorry I don't like Claudia, reminds me of chlamydia. I don't really like Audrey (reminds me of corrie), what about Audrina?

belgo · 15/02/2009 15:45

I like Audrey. And Claudia.

What about Erica?

evamummy · 17/02/2009 15:00

Claudia is a nice enough name, but I wouldn't choose it because of its meaning.... there are plenty of other nice names around. What about Carolina or Adriana?

cece · 17/02/2009 15:01

Audrey is such a beautiful and glamerous name so definitely gets my vote.

tootyflooty · 17/02/2009 15:06

claudia

GossipMonger · 17/02/2009 15:09

Claudia

Audrey reminds me of Audrey Roberts in Corrie! and not Hepburn! tis an old lady name!

I really would not want to be 7 or 15 or 21 or 35 and called Audrey!!

Annabel
Romilly
Beatrice
Nell

are my girl names that I will never use as I have 2 boys and dont want anymore children.

clubfoot · 17/02/2009 15:57

Gossipmonger, Beatrice and Nell are very much old lady names too and are also popular now.

I don't watch Corrie so it doesn't matter to me.

Rubena · 05/05/2010 20:18

Claudia - I'm trying to decide on using it too. Lovely name, can't decide how I feel about the meaning.

Rubena · 05/05/2010 20:19
