Do these names sound stupid together???

I'm pg with DC2, DS is called Jasper, and at the moment we are stuck with girls names (boys are fine), the only name we both really like is Jasmine, however I think it sounds a bit naff with Jasper - I do plan to have more and if it was DC3 I'm pretty sure I would be happy to call it Jasmine, but with just two I'm unsure if it sounds stupid or too much like I'm trying to have similar sounding names - I just really like the name!

So I'm just asking for opinions on the combination, it might help me make up my mind!!!!!!!

How about Yasmin or Tamsin instead?

Fimbo · 14/01/2009 13:17

Jasper & Jasmine does sound a bit much

I've got this problem for ds (who doesn't exist) but my fave name starts with an L, and dd starts with an L.

Is it naff or not? My two cousins are both L and that's ok, but is that just because I know them so well. If I just heard their names would I think 'naff' and judge?

I do think the fact they both start Jas- is a bit tricky...

HelenBurns · 14/01/2009 13:20

No, it's Ok. See how much you like the name and if any others come up that you prefer.

I don't really like Yasmin or Tasmin.
DownyEmerald I agree it is not just the first letter but the fact that they are both Jas...

We've been thinking for ages - I only have 3 weeks to go now! I'm thinking maybe wait until it comes out - it might be a boy after all, or if it is a girl we may just know what to call her when we see her!
