Heard this name a while ago and I've been toying with it...wondered what people thought?

Is it awful or actually lovely? Can't make my mind up. dh loves it!

Have you been reading Proust?

I like it.

Clarissimo · 09/01/2009 20:20

I'm gad you decided no

I have a friend called Haraldine; every time she uis aked 'and I take it your aprents wanted a boy?' (they didnt, its her Aunts name in another countrY).

Most people won't get literary references and assume the other

NOOOO sorry don't like it. Sounds like someone just randomly stuck -tina on the end of a masculine name as pp have said.

preggersplayspop · 09/01/2009 22:04

Sounds like a fruit. Please don't do it.

Ahem, I rather like it (hence the name). Probably better in the middle, though.

Isn't it just a French name? I've known at least one French Albertine (although the particular one I'm thinking of would be about 90 by now) so haven't ever thought of it as odd, if I met one I would just assume French family somewhere
