When i eventually have a baby (but firstly get pregnant) i'd like to call my dc:

Hansel

But now for middle names? I want two middle names for any future children.

To name a few middle names i like :

Cassius, Jasper, Rain, Jean, Achaiah, Cedric, Harry, Joseph, Javen, Oliver, Indigo.
Saskia, Rowan, Heidi, River, Nemea, Coralie, Imogen, May, Katie, Amelia, Amelie, Penelope, Elizabeth, Xenia, Bellatrix, Virginia.

and lots more. ideally i do want my baby two have two middle names so any suggestions?

Hopefully by the time you're pregnant you might have rethought your choices - Hansel and Sunday are awful - sorry!

branflake81 · 21/12/2008 12:32

errrr....is this a joke?!

Hansel isn't even a real name. It's an affectionate version of Hans.

belgo · 21/12/2008 12:34

Agree the name should be Hans. What about Axel?

no. just no.

TinyTimLivesinVictorianSqualor · 21/12/2008 12:53

You should just clear your mind of these names.

Hulababy · 21/12/2008 12:59

Hmm, not my choices personally.

From your other lists:

Boy
Cassius, Jasper, Rain, Jean, Achaiah, Cedric, Javen, Indigo - don't like these

Harry, Joseph, Oliver - I like these names quite a lot

Girl
Saskia, May, Katie, Amelia, Amelie, Elizabeth - these are fine
Rowan, Heidi, River, Nemea, Coralie, Imogen, Penelope, Xenia, Bellatrix, Virginia - not for me

Worst case pre pre pre natal depression I have ever seen....

TrinityRhino · 21/12/2008 13:02

AnarchyInAManger · 21/12/2008 13:02

What is with this whole deciding-the-name-before-you're-even-pregnant thing?

Wait and see what the baby looks like, no?

Xenia May Rain

Although if you name her May Nemea you could just call her MN -- in honour of this website of course.

Jenbottleofeggnog · 21/12/2008 17:16

What if she's born on a Tuesday?

frogs · 21/12/2008 17:18

Even Hans is a diminutive of Johann or Johannes (= John).

Doooon't. Think of hte number of jokes about gingerbread houses he'll have to put up with. And Sunday will just have people humming Blondie at her.

MrsArchieTheInventor · 21/12/2008 17:19

Why do you hate your kids before they've even been conceived??

Katisha · 21/12/2008 17:22

OK going with the two middle names idea :
Hansel Nigel Mansell
Sunday Blardy Sunday

poinsettydog · 21/12/2008 17:28

ah Smile, you liddle joker

wheresthehamster · 21/12/2008 17:53

See, it's NOT all doom and gloom on here. Thanks Smile for cheering us up!

SmilePlease · 21/12/2008 18:19

I'd like to point out that my gran was called Sunday.

I appreciate your concerns on the name 'Hansel' but honestly i didn't ask whether you liked it or not.
i think some people need to loosen up and stop giving other people grief on the names that they like.

This is the most unproductive thread that has ever been created.

Baby names are always controversial, even more so when they're unconventional, and whether you like it or not some of the names you've suggested for both forenames and middle names are on the unconventional side some more than others. That said, if you genuinely like those names then you won't give two hoots what other people think of them.

poinsettydog · 21/12/2008 18:51

It's not the most unprpductive. Honest injun

LiffeySaysNollaigShona · 21/12/2008 21:22

I think any day except Saturday works well as a name. But at the moment I wouldn'tuse Sunday either as you'll look like a nicopykidcat sorry.

Tuesday and Wednesday are my favourites I think. (not that I'd use them myself, but they are kind of nice in a not my style way!)

moonincancer · 21/12/2008 21:23

produced some joke, no?? did in caterum anyway

Nancy66 · 21/12/2008 21:24

Liffey - does that mean you don't like Mondays?
