Probably as a middle name.

Don't you think it's got a hint of curmudgeonly cool tho?

I quite like it. It has grown on me mind you. I have worked with one (known as H) and was at university with another. Both nice men!

Oh, I'd forgot about the Humphrey books.

Must be subliminal, have been fantasizing about living like that comfy family of elephants on and off for yrs, but had forgotten the little boy one was Humphrey.

Think you can be as oddball as you like with a middle name... but I know a Humphrey (first name) who is always known as Humpy - which doesn't exactly do it for me!
Actually my dad has a third name Leslie which he still hates so much he never uses it even in his initials, he gets really cross when we mention it, so maybe...

ggirlsbells · 08/12/2008 15:08

doesn't really matter as a middle name though

awful first name

imnotyourmother · 08/12/2008 17:35

I have a three year old 'Humphrey'. It means peace. Would love to know of any others - under the age of 70!

BabyBaby123 · 08/12/2008 18:03

horrible, sorry. Middle name doesn't really matter though so if it's a family name and you have to use it it won't matter so much....
