Help! Can't decide on a girls name

We have a bit of time before this baby (girl) is due in March, but are having a real headache deciding on a name!

The current favorites are:
Maisie
Rosa
Cleo
Matilda
Evelyn

Her middle name will probably be Adeline or possibly Isobel after my Grandma.

Maisie is my fav, but am a bit worried it is a bit too cutsey. What do people think? Any other ideas?

Maisie, Matilda and "Evie" are all very very popular now. Rosa and CLeo much more unusual and therefore much better!

LaDiDaDi · 05/12/2008 20:27

I like all of them and Isobel is my dd's name.

I think I would go for Cleo as it's definitely the most unusual of the list but I'm not convinced that it works well with either of your middle name choices.

If you are set on using one of your middle name choices then I think that Maisie Adeline is the best combination.

Hulababy · 05/12/2008 20:27

I love the name Matilda and Maisie.

gameforalaugh · 05/12/2008 20:28

Cleo Adeline - I LOVE. Gorgeous. Soundslike 1920s starlet.

RachieB · 05/12/2008 22:39

Maisie IS too cutesy for me,but if you like it ?

I like Cleo the best

HallePerry · 05/12/2008 22:56

How about Macy if Maisie is too cutesy?

Pinkchampagne · 05/12/2008 23:00

I love Maisie!

Cadelaide · 05/12/2008 23:02

Adeline is lovely, why can't you have it for a first name?

TheNewsMongersGeansaiNollag · 05/12/2008 23:03

Maisie - ok but that's all
Rosa - ok. I like Rosemary with Romy or Rosa for short.
Cleo - love this one.
Matilda - ok, don't love it.
Evelyn - prefer just Eve.

lunamoon2 · 05/12/2008 23:04

My fave is Evelyn.

harpomarx · 05/12/2008 23:04

Rosa is lovely. I do quite like Cleo but it does remind me of cars and cats. Know lots of Maisies (not that that should put you off, my own dd's name is super popular and I still love it).

not a big fan of Matilda or Evelyn.

nellyonthetelly · 06/12/2008 00:34

I like Rosa the best out of those... personally. Maisie is too cutesy and too mousey for me! Good luck

debzmb62 · 06/12/2008 01:06

dinkymum · 06/12/2008 09:48

all lovely names, if I had to pick a favourite it would definitely be Maisie.

LilRedWG · 06/12/2008 09:49

I went to school with a Maisie very cool and lovely.

She's now mid-thirties and still very cool and lovely.

LynetteScavo · 06/12/2008 09:51

Rosa Isobel.

Anna8888 · 06/12/2008 10:05

Cleo is lovely.

MrsMattie · 06/12/2008 10:06

Rosa and Cleo were both on my list. Both lovely, dignified names.

ForgetfulNess · 06/12/2008 10:14

Maisie was the only girls name me and my dp could agree on. Our 4 month old is Maisie Roisin.

annasmami · 06/12/2008 10:27

Maisie too cutesy for me too...., but I love Cleo and Rosa.

LynetteScavo · 06/12/2008 11:48

Have a look at her when she is born - and see what suits ehr best.

ateles · 07/12/2008 20:06

Thanks for all your messages, I think the wait and see approach is a good idea .

Maisy is a mouse
Cleo is a cat

Matilda is very classy.

Rosa is horrid

I quite like Evelyn, actually, again sounds very classy.

electra · 07/12/2008 20:12

From that list I would choose Cleo.
