My Lachlan's sister is Rose (we wanted to share the naming honours between Scotland and England) and we've never regretted it - if people stumble over his name (which they do here in England - it's great for him when we are north of the border), at least they don't over hers!

I agree with longleged. Fiona is a great name, which goes really well with Lachie. (Can you tell by my username that this might be personal?) Seriously, Fiona's dropped in popularity, but is well enough known.
