Dh and I are currently thinking of names that we like (I'm not pregnant though!), which do you prefer:

Sasha
Serena
Zoe
Zara

Serena
Sasha
Zoe

Pinkjenny · 18/11/2008 15:58

Does Sasha sound like a dog's name?

OP posts:
belgo · 18/11/2008 16:00

no but I always think of Sasha being a boy's name.

mumof2andabit · 18/11/2008 16:12

Not keen on zoe ( i know a zoe and she is horrible!)love Serena and Zara tho

Pinkjenny · 18/11/2008 16:12

Isn't it funny the way you associate names with people. Dh doesn't like Zoe either.

weepootle · 18/11/2008 16:14

I do think Sasha is a bit of a doggy name.
Zoe is a page 3 model name.
Zara is nice.
Serena is ok.

Pinkjenny · 18/11/2008 16:16

Really? Dd is Alexa, so they would have the same name, in effect??

OP posts:
belgo · 18/11/2008 16:41

Alexa and Zara would go very well together.

BlueChampagne · 19/11/2008 13:37

Agree with Belgo

annasmami · 19/11/2008 13:51

Sasha is a boys name for me too - short for Alexander.

annasophia · 19/11/2008 14:04

Sasha is of Russian origin. It's a short form of Alexander and means "man's defender" (Greek). Not very feminine imo .

I really like Zara on your list.

Pinkjenny · 19/11/2008 14:26

I like them all, I just have to get pregnant now to use one of them! I thought Alexa was of Greek origin and meant defender, not Russian.

Sasha is a girls name to me,know a few females, but there is a boy in my sons school called Sasha too!

not keen on any of them, but prefer Zara out of them all
