I like a few of those far better than alot of the names that are around today.

MadamAnt · 13/11/2008 22:25

You're quite right. We should stick with good sound 70s names. Like...er...Louise

sorkycake · 13/11/2008 22:26

I love vivienne.

louisejohnson87 · 13/11/2008 22:26

Don't get me started I hate my name!! It's boring but some of the names that have been mentioned in some of these threads are just horrid!

Hulababy · 13/11/2008 22:27

I like Albie, but not sure I could go for Albert.

MadamAnt · 13/11/2008 22:29

It's all a matter of opinion though, isn't it? The world would be a dull old place if we all had the same teste.

MadamAnt · 13/11/2008 22:30

yellowflowers · 14/11/2008 10:48

I like Albert and Vivienne

CharCharGabor · 14/11/2008 10:50

lol at teste

Fimbo · 14/11/2008 10:51

I know an Albert and Maisie and they really suit their names

Also 2 little sisters in the library the other day - Maude and Blanche.

Now the above are not names I would particularly call my own dc but that is just because they are not my taste.

nickytwotimes · 14/11/2008 10:52

You are absolutley right Louise.
No one should be allowed to name their child until you have okayed it.

I like those names btw. Well, except Terence, obviously.

Tortington · 14/11/2008 10:53

terence, is indeed god awful - and would have a friend called gary.

not too keen on albert actually, like do you really want to call your kid afer a knob piercing.

the others are ok.

i like agnes.

i might have another kid and call her agnes, i love the name that much

nah fuck that

Nancy66 · 14/11/2008 10:59

I'm not convinced that Terrence IS coming back - only ever heard it mentioned on here and most people agreed that it was awful.

I like old fashioned and traditional names - but not keen on any that you mentioned above.

for me, Terrence, Gregory and Vivienne are boring, working class names that become popular in the 70s.

lilibet · 14/11/2008 11:04

Is Gergory coming back - I have not hard of one new Gregory for ages?

rolledhedgehog · 16/11/2008 15:24

I really like Gregory. Wanted to call DS2 that as my late mother liked Gregory Peck. DH was having none of it as there were so many Gregs at his posh school - definately not 1970's working class in my area of the country!

denbury · 16/11/2008 15:28

Vivienne and albert
