Its biblical and means (might be old testament so Jewish too) and measn lightning.

I don't think I'll be hearing it at my local toddler group, but yes, I think it will be in the top 1000 names in 2010 as it will be used in AA communities in America.

Americans have a tradition of using former presidents' names anyway.

Kennedy, Madison, both used by white lower socio-economic groups in USA, for girls though. Can definitely see Barack being used.
