... Leo

Just wondering what you thought of the name?
I would really have preferred a longer name with Leo as a shortened version but I really dislike Leopold, Leonard etc etc

So...what d'ya reckon?

I think Leo is a great name and it is high on our list if we have another son. We would go for Leonard.

Umlellala · 06/11/2008 12:57

I really like it, and Leon. But dh didn't!

Leonardo?

FlirtyThirty · 06/11/2008 13:25

I love Leonardo as a name...but really only for Italians. I'm Scottish and DH is English...just don't think we could get away with it. Personal opinion though. I think Leo works ok as a stand-alone name though...

I would probably go for Leopold (traditional name which appears to be making a comeback, at least in Germany) and call him Leo for short.

ChocOrange05 · 08/11/2008 06:40

I like it and I don't think you need to pick an extended version if you don't like them, perhaps you can have a longer middle name instead (if you are having one).

Good luck!

CoteDAzur · 08/11/2008 06:41

Leonard/Leo is nice.

mickeylou · 08/11/2008 07:47

Leo is nice as a stand alone name imo. i have a billy and am constantly asked why he isnt william. i took the view that i loved the name i'd chosen and would never use william in real life so why bother? he is so not a william either!!

RachieB · 08/11/2008 15:08

i like Leo and Leon

Bicnod · 08/11/2008 17:45

I know a Leo.

It's a nice name.

Liffey · 08/11/2008 19:33

Really like it. Leopold is a bit poncier than Leonard. I like both though.

LaDiDaDi · 08/11/2008 19:43

I like Leo on it's own. Leonardo is the best of the longer names imo.
