What do people think about Samuel Jackson?

I think its lovely :-) but you must give him a middle name beginning with l.

Hassled · 03/11/2008 09:17

If you are well prepared for years of comments from every second person you meet, then go for it - I really wouldn't.

I like it there might be a few comments but hey ho its not the end of the world.

babysoon1 · 03/11/2008 10:55

how about christening him that but calling him Sam? giving him the option for later on. Will everyone associate it with the actor?
What about Sam Jackson?

OP posts:
BabyBaby123 · 03/11/2008 10:57

I wouldn't associate Sam Jackson with the actor - I think that would be fine, christen him Samuel, call him Sam, just don't give him a middle name starting with L

babysoon1 · 03/11/2008 11:03

Does Sam Jackson flow well together?

OP posts:
jellybeans · 03/11/2008 11:09

It's fine, a nice normal name (not into old men ones which are so common at mo). I would stick with it.

babysoon1 · 03/11/2008 17:08

thanks - definitely wont be giving him a middle name starting with L (even though I love Louie!)

Love Sam Jackson ...v cool!

clairebear88 · 04/11/2008 13:40

I think Sam Jackson flows nicely and its my fave name. I would have a Samuel William
Go for it

Majeika · 04/11/2008 13:42

Louis Jackson is lovely.

I do know a James Bond, Micah Jackson and LaToyah Jackson (really!!) and an Elizabeth Taylor and they must get comments all the time. dont think Samuel Jackson would get too many comments.

Tommy · 04/11/2008 13:45

I had a friend called Sam Jackson at college. Short for Samantha

I must admit, we thought carefully about the "famous" people who would have similar names and discounted Charlie, Sam, James, and anyone else called Brown!

Iklboo · 04/11/2008 13:47

Samuel L Jackson is the coolest mo fo on the planet. But so what if people associate your DS with him? It's a lovely name

babysoon1 · 04/11/2008 18:36

thanks - people seem very pro the name - think we'll probably go with it as things stand currently!

christywhisty · 04/11/2008 18:51

I have a Sam (Samuel) but mine has a middle name James. I didn't automatically think of the actor when I read your OP.
Love the name Sam Jackson , it sounds like a strong reliable type.
