Constance /connie was my nan's name and she was an amazing woman. We are going to use it as middle name (after either maggie, ingrid or vivienne) if we have a girl in her honour. Go for it!

pointydog · 04/11/2008 22:16

yeah, like it. Strong. like connie too

Love Connie and Constance, go for it!

We had Constance on our list this time... but it's going to be a boy We think it's lovely, but we don't like Connie as a nickname.

lovely

I do like Constance (although I'm always a bit wary of those virtue names, feels like asking for trouble - Patience is bound to spend her life telling everyone else to hurry up, Verity to be an awful fibber, Charity to be tight-fisted and Chastity to be up the duff at 15). But Connie is horrible and just reminds me of great-aunts.

love it - but Connie put me off. I did suggest calling dd Constance to dh with the possiblity of shortening it to Stan - didn't go down too well!

ZZZen · 04/11/2008 23:05

It's my bubba's middle name. It's a splendid name.
