LesAnimaux · 10/10/2008 17:28

Ooh! I like Alegro

CaptainFabioHiltsTheCoolerCat · 10/10/2008 17:30

I thought this

Tigerschick · 10/10/2008 17:53

I really like it.
We couldn't ever use it as everyone would think we'd named our DS after Austin Healey!

I know a very cute baby Austin, named for Steve Austin.

pagwatch · 10/10/2008 17:59

Actually my Dhs grandfather is an Austin.
With his middle name I always thought he sounded like a make of vintage car.

FWIW he called himself Bill his whole life

Slickbird · 11/10/2008 19:42

I really like it and have thought about it for this one if it is a boy. I'm just not sure if it goes with our last name. But not chavvy AT ALL - IMHO!

Aliensloveunderpants · 11/10/2008 19:43

DH said the only way we can use Austin is if we use Danger as his middle name .

CherryChapstick · 11/10/2008 19:44

My 14 yr old DS is Austin.

kalo12 · 11/10/2008 19:46

CherryChapstick · 11/10/2008 19:52

In DS's 14 years he has only ever had a bit of mild teasing about Austin Powers. Could be worse, eh?

accordiongirl · 05/11/2008 00:38

It's good.

2HotCrossBunnies · 19/11/2008 16:34

Just a thought - could spell it Austen rather than Austin? We did that to avoid the Powers association, more like Jane Austen !

mickeylou · 19/11/2008 16:55

bit soft imo. but if you love it go for it. also my ds' favourite backyardigan.

BexieID · 07/12/2008 23:29

DP gets called Austin alot. His name is actually Dustine.

guitarheroine · 07/12/2008 23:32

Dustine?
Never heard of that

BexieID · 07/12/2008 23:37

Yeah, his mum liked Dustin Hoffmam at the time!

guitarheroine · 07/12/2008 23:38

but with an e?
or is that a typo?

BexieID · 07/12/2008 23:43

Not a typo, it's spelt with the e on the end.

aidansyummymummy · 08/12/2008 20:17

We have an Austin in our family and it really suits him, its an old family name.

BikeRunSki · 09/12/2008 10:24

Word association = Maxi

But if you have no connections to 1970s functional hatchbacks, then no probs.
