Can anyone think of -

  • any other boys' names that end in LEE sound other than Stanley (under consideration) and Finlay (love but too popular for me now). I am not interested in nicknames (Charlie etc) or surnames (Riley, Bailey, Harley etc).

Are there any other 'real' names that meet this criteria? I can't think of any.

The LEE thing is for sentimental reasons.

spareparts · 29/09/2008 18:13

Leslie, Ashley, Ainsley and Bradley are from surnames. Thanks though!

That's what I mean - there are very very few (can only think of Stanley and Finlay) that are not from surnames.

I will be very impressed with anyone who can come up with any others!

Yes, its not right at all, must have been having a moment there

You seem to have rather a lot of redundant exclamation marks there Curstardo, are you feelings on this quite strong?

Toodaised · 29/09/2008 18:18

Spareparts, its a tricky challenge!

I suppose you have already considered Lee as a middle name?

moshie · 29/09/2008 18:20

Levi
Leroy/Leeroy
Leander
Lief

Billy is a nickname.

I dislike the name Lee too much to use at all. I thought it might be a longshot trying to come up with any. Maybe Stanley and Finlay are the only names.

I'm liking Leopold though. Will put it to hin when he gets in.

I knew a man named Morley, he was born about 1940, so I think it was always a first name, not adapted from a surname IYSWIM.

raindropsonroses · 29/09/2008 18:55

Stanley and Finlay are both used as surnames too.

mrspnut · 29/09/2008 19:07

One of our friends has the surname Stanley and is always known as Stan.

fanjolina · 29/09/2008 19:15

Kingsley
Marley
Wesley
Anatoly
Yeardly

Yes raindrops, but they are first names before they are surnames. Like Alexander for example.

Partner is liking the Leo names! Leopold is very appealing!
