We I am stuck for a girl's name - with me only having DD2 last September I am all named out.

Found out on Monday DC3 is another girl (well 95%) and I need some inspiration.

DD1 is Grace Elisabeth
DD2 is Maya Rose (yes I know, I know, I know Rose is too popular as a middle name...)

So please help!

DH is quite happy to just go along with what I want...

OMG Camille could be Mimi, I daren't tell my mother that! She will never let me have another name! Actually Camille is starting to overtake the rest now... I have loved Camille since DH and I went on holiday to Mauritius (pre-children) and there was the most beautiful French little girl called Camille. I said there and then to DH that that was the name I wanted for our first DD. Grace somehow overtook it though.

Nappyaddict, already like Francesca but can't abide Fran so Frances is out as well. Love Luisa but there are already 2 Louise's in the family.

The girls names I currently like are:

Elodie, Eloise, Louisa, Meredith, Miriam, Marianne, Alicia, Rhianna, Cerys, Carys, Anna, Esme, Thea, Helena, Eleanor, Hannah, Eliza, Leah, Rebecca and Beth.

There are so many beautiful girls' names, aren't there?

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 17/09/2008 21:52

Alice
Imogen
Viola/Violet
Sylvia
Miranda
Beatrice

dizzydixies · 17/09/2008 21:52

rigth so camille nn mimi then?

now we just need a middle name!!

reban · 17/09/2008 22:00

Anya was on your list of names you like but dont love so may i suggest my daughters name which is Alannah (Alanna or any other way you want to spell it). You rarely meet another Alannah and it means "dear child" as its an old irish form of endearment.

pgwithnumber3 · 17/09/2008 22:04

Hehe dizzy, have to run it past DH mymother first! It seems to have been a name we have loved for nearly 7 years so...

Reban - Alana is on my list on names that I like as well! I love Alannah too!

Grace, Maya and Polly
Grace, Maya and Susie
Grace, Maya and Flora
Grace, Maya and Joy
I like the suggestion of Sylvie.

From your list I like Anya and Zara.

I like Louisa too, but it's not quite as good a match with sisters' names, stylistically. (if stylistically is a word).

pgwithnumber3 · 17/09/2008 22:09

I know what you mean TheNaughiest, I remember reading in a baby name book last year that classed Grace and Maya as bohemian type names. I need something bohemianish to go with them.

TheNaughtiestGirlKeepsaSecret · 17/09/2008 22:13

Polly or Dulcie or Lois are kind of bohemian chic imo. Edie/Edith, Maggie, Greta, Thea, Honor..

Any of these feel close/

dizzydixies · 17/09/2008 22:14

i loved sylvie for dd3 but it was just too close to dd2's name

what about Iris or pearl? both very boho!!
or Celeste or Cecelia or Beatrice?

lol at running it past you mum dh pgwith3, my mum never approved of any of our name choices and dd1 and dd2 were variations of family names, goodness knows what she would've made of dd3!!!

sylvie
camille
ruby

we high up for dd3, Cordelia was a last minute entry which we just seemed to run with about she's not called that iyswim?

I def think Camille and Sylvie are the top two options though

TheNaughtiestGirlKeepsaSecret · 17/09/2008 22:17

Mimi is nice. As a nn.

TheNaughtiestGirlKeepsaSecret · 17/09/2008 22:18

Oh yes dizzy I tried to persuade you to call her Coco!!

jennifersofia · 17/09/2008 22:19

We had a hard time naming our dd3 too - This was our 'short' list:

dizzydixies · 17/09/2008 22:22

Not fussed on Sylvie dizzy, just reminds me of an old woman. Sorry!

Definitely Camille nn Mimi is coming up on top. My Mum DH will agree as well.

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 17/09/2008 22:31

Liking Camille Alexandra the best!

Lulumama will go mad, the other week I decided (with her input) on Louisa Hope!
