I LOVE it but chose not to use it for DS due to tweenies connection. Poor kid might get the piss ripped at school and that put me off.

That was our choice for a boy's name. But we had a girl. And just before she was born we found out that it's Boris Johnson's kid's name. Hope that doesn't put you off, I think its a great name.

Exceptional Bias on my part but i think it's fab.

BTW - excuse me, but there are tweenies called Jake, Bella and Fizz too. Jake it probably like, the most common name ever (nice though) and Milo is much cooler than him!

Ah Boris Johnson. That about sums up why I dislike it.

i like it - the tweenies thing doesn't put me off at all as you can never tell what programmes will come up in the future with kid's names in them. i like Rory and Thomas but people are constantly telling me about tank engines and racing cars. if you like it go for it!

ds (5) has a best friend at school called this- he is lovely. At first I thought tweenies, but now he is just Milo. i like it- as does ds!!( funny how children never connect things- he has never made the tweenies connection, just his parents!)

My DS is MIlo and we didn't know about the Tweenies or Boris Johnson connection when we named him. However, I am fairly confident that both the Tweenies and BJ will be distant memories by the time DS is at school but Milo will still be a great name

I do like the name Milo but I have to admit that it does make me think of The Tweenies!

A milky drink.....dislike the drink and name.

I like Milo and don't think that the Tweenies factor should bother you ... as others have said, the prog won't be around for ever.

Just to buck the trend - I also like Miles, I knew one once who was a real sweetie (taught him when he was 7) so I'm probably biased there!

Milo goes well with Jasper IMHO

Do they even still make the Tweenies. They've had their day. I wouldn't worry about them.

I know some people who, in the late 70's, didn't call their daughter Jessica because Frank Spencer's daughter was Jessica. Does anyone even remember that now.

Love it. And Jasper is lovely too. Don't worry about the tweenies, knpw lots of teachers who say names are not the subject of teasing these days as there are so many unusual ones. Kids will find something else. And as others have said, who knows what names they'll try to hijack and ruin on telly tomorrow.

Nope don't like it, reminds me of some sort of malt drink.

Lovely named forever ruined by association with the Tweenies. I think it is different with (say) Thomas - there are so many Thomases that people have plenty of their own Thomas associations and the Tank Engine is neither here nor there. With Milo, the link between the name and the (admittedly coolest of the) Tweenies is very strong.

My 4 year old son is Jasper and my 8 month old baby is Milo so of course I think Milo is GREAT!! I have received lots of positive comments and some degree of surprise with regards to the name Milo. (more surprise than with Jasper's name)

Tweenies be damned! It's a great name!!
