My mums friend is currently fostering a little boy called Malachai, or Malaki, not sure how it is spelt.

My sister and i remember a film called "children of the corn", and everytime my mums friend calls him by his name,we shudder! Anyone who has seen the film will know why!

Just wondering if there is any childs name from a horror story which would prevent you from using it. Damien (which i love btw) is another one i just couldnt bring myself to use.

Am i just a wimp???

I haven't read the whole thread sorry, but I prefer Malachy (pronounced MALakee) which is not uncommon but not overused either inIreland.

Malachai pronounced Malak-Eye is too weird imo
