Expecting DC2 in January and my DH and I love Mirabelle but are concerned it could sound a bit poncey, especially when you tell your Nan the name...

Thoughts anyone?

Our DS is called Hugh/Hughie if that assists!

mirabelles
i love it
have you read Joanne Harris's Five Quarters of the Orange?
There are characters called Mirabelle, Cassis Framboise and Reine Claude

Mirabel is nicer, spelt that way. I really like that. I don't know why the spelling makes a difference but it does. I love Vivien but not Vivienne, and Annabel but not Annabelle and Juliet but not Juliette.

Mirabel is actually really lovely. It just took me a minute to get used to it. But only a minute.
Go for it.
