Dh and I both like Harry. I think it's a good name for a boy and a man. BUT it's my Grandads name and I'm not one for naming children after relatives and even though we would be using it because we like the name, my other Grandad will no doubt view it differently. Also it is quite a popular name.

My other name choice is less traditional...Dexter. I love love love the series (which I know is not a good reason to give it to my son) but am starting to really love the name. On the pos side at least there won't be another 3 in his class but have I just been brain washed by my obsession with a TV programme?

So votes please Harry or Dexter?

LOVE Dexter. I wanted it for my DS2 but DP said 'No'. I worked with a Dexter and he said he did quite like his name except everyone automatically remembered it. He was always being accused of dealing with jobs which were nothing to do with him becuase he had answered the phone to a query one six months ago and his was the one name that everyone remembered. Also I love Insp Morse and the books are written by Colin Dexter. My DS2 is now 4 and I sometimes still try out the name in my head with a slight regret. He'd have suited Dexter although obviously love the name he has.

Hate Harry. No No No.
