I don't think people really think of Ethan as biblical. It is quite popular though.

Love Olivia and Freya.

hw2004 · 29/07/2008 11:07

Hi
I like Freya or Sophia for a girl.

Not keen on Finn or Ethan but I think that's just because i've heard so many of them lately.

sannie · 29/07/2008 11:18

like olivia...

prefer finlay to finn

ethan doesn't sound biblical to me...

Fimbo · 29/07/2008 11:23

I like Olivia but dislike it being shortened to Olly as one of my friend's does to her little girl

gladders · 29/07/2008 12:00

if it's any consolation, our two both seemed to look like names when they were born - names we hadn't previously considered. they're 3 and 2 now and the names still fit!

(your names are all lovely btw)

clairebear88 · 29/07/2008 13:36

Hi

I think your names are lovely. I do like Olivia ( Livvy ) and Freya and Grace were on our list but friends got there first.
Ethan and Finn are nice too and Ethan is not too biblical at all.
My shortlist is similiar to yours so what are your views on them
Ryan
Samuel
Liam
Charlie
Freddy

Abby
Amy
Caitlyn
Lydia
Phoebe

I like Freya the best. Sophie is OK. Not a fan of Olivia.

Finn and Ethan OK but a bit "trendy".

bigboydiditandranaway · 29/07/2008 21:01

have founds girls names easier to pick, still like finn & ethan, i know they're trendy but just can't agree with dh on any otherscan anyone suggest any others pls.

claire i like samuel(can't use that name as already have one in extended family) and lydia for a girl, the rest are great too.

Olivia is lovely, I'm biased though, I've got one
Finn for a boy

Dalrymps · 29/07/2008 21:08

How about Fletcher, Dylan, Harrison?
I think Freya is lovely, would usually go for Grace but I think it's quite popular at the moment.

Hulababy · 29/07/2008 21:14

I like any of your girl's names, and prefer Finn from your boy list.

My favourite names for girls at the moment are Matilda, Martha and Florence. Not sure about biys names; I struggle there.

frazzledoldbag34 · 29/07/2008 21:27

I like your girls names,
not so keen on the boys.
Why don't you just wait and see what springs to mind once the baby is born?
Sometimes something else will suddenly jump into your head.
(My DD1 was ALWAYS Charlotte. Until about 1 minute after she was born and DH and I looked at each other and went 'oh no, she's a *** instead'!!!

frazzledoldbag34 · 29/07/2008 21:29

Oh and by the way GOOD LUCK! Hope all goes well.
