Names that can be shortened to Ted or Ned

I love the names Ted or Ned but not keen on Edward/Edwin/Edmund (sorry to any mums of these names - doesn't go well with our traditional sounding surname). Anyone know of longer versions that can be shortened to these?

Along similar lines to artichoke's suggestion...

My husband is called Edward, shortened to Ned. I didn't really like the name Ned that much when we first met but he didn't want to be called Edward...so I started to call him Nedward instead!

I got used to saying Ned in the end though

Ted is perfectly ok as a name n its own right.
Or short for Theodore?
I know a Teddy which is his full name.

DS2 is Edward and is called Ted/Teddy all the time. Edward is a proper traditional name, so would go perfectly with a traditional sounding surname wouldnt it?

Theodore, Thaddeus, Edward, Eddy, Eddie, Edison, Theobald - pretty much the names listed here: variants of Ted
