We are expecting baby no. 4, already have 3 daughters with two syllable names
what do you think of these or any other ideas with a cornish influence:-

Reg Henry Somerset
Isaac Henry Somerset
Mylor Henry Somerset
Gulliver Henry Somerset
Marmaduke (no not really)!

Isa-Mae Demelza
Cecily Lamorna
Lamorna Pearl
Loveday Pearl
Delilah Dandelion (the girls chose this, but its growing on me)!!

OP posts:

I love Isaac Henry Somerset or Gulliver Henry Somerset

and

also Cecily Lamorna,

not too sure about the others, but go with what you like

Anglepoise · 09/07/2008 10:42

I like Isaac and er Marmaduke

For the girls I like Cecily and Delilah and actually Loveday.

A few of them sound a bit made-up, but I'm all in favour of going jazz with middle names.

PestoMonster · 09/07/2008 10:42

Yes, I like Demelza too, but for a first name rather than middle one.

dizzydixies · 09/07/2008 10:43

would you not have Henry Marmaduke I love it!

Isa fabulous and Cecily and Pearl too

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 09/07/2008 10:43

I adore Loveday.

Was that a bond girl or something?

hetty37 · 09/07/2008 11:07

Loveday is cornish I believe, I know two grown up ones. By the way my girls are called Esme, Lily and Posy

Mavornia · 09/07/2008 13:35

Henry Somerset is fab

Also like Jago Somerset

For girls:

Cecily Merryn or Cecily Steren (means star in Cornish)

nooka · 09/07/2008 13:49

I like Cecily and Gulliver best. Delilah Dandelion is fab, but I wouldn't call a real person Delilah!

minniedot · 09/07/2008 14:21

Cecily and Gulliver

LaDiDaDi · 09/07/2008 14:26

For boys I like Isaac and Mylor but I really like Gulliver. Please don't use Reg.

For girls I think Loveday Pearl is a fab name.

FlirtyThirty · 09/07/2008 18:37

I don't like Reg, Mylor or Gulliver.
Isaac is ok; Marmaduke is a dog and Henry is great! So...Henry Isaac would be my choice from your boys names.

Not keen on Isa-Mae, Demelza, Lamorna or Dandelion (it's a weed and the scourge of many a garden!).

Cecily Pearl and Delilah are all sweet though. So..Cecily Pearl or Delilah Pearl for me.

Other Cornigh names I like are Cara and Tamsin.

OurHamsterisevil · 09/07/2008 20:27

Love Delilah, and Gulliver and Mylor

LynetteScavo · 09/07/2008 20:30

Isaac (Although I like Reggy and Marmaduke)

Cecily or Delilah

Hulababy · 09/07/2008 20:33

From your choices:

Isaac Henry
Isa-Mae (don't like Demelza though)

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/07/2008 20:48

Are all Cornish names like these?!

I like Isaac (if you're Jewish) or Marmaduke, and Delilah, but think the rest are terrible!

TodayToday · 09/07/2008 20:55

I like Cecily, Demelza, Loveday and Gulliver from your list.

janeite · 09/07/2008 20:55

Isaac or Cecily - imho the rest are awful, sorry. Delilah Dandelion sounds like something Gerri Haliwell would choose. Mylor sounds quite nice but looks a bit strange to my non-Cornish eye!

janeite · 09/07/2008 20:56

Tamsin, as mentioned earlier, is lovely.

janeite · 09/07/2008 21:22

Any use?

I really like Elowen and Rosen; never heard of either of those before.
