Heeeeeeelp! Boys names

Struggling to find a name we both like and keep seeing the same names recommended so please help me find a name me and DH could love. Trouble is I like less mainstream names (not wacky but just less used, not trendy, not "vintage" and not American) and DH likes what I would class as bog standard. On the maybe list are:
Frances
Cormack
Joshua
Robert
Miles
Calvin

DH's suggestions were Daniel and Patrick. I have nothing against either but not names I love and want to give to my son. Some of my vetoed suggestions were Yves, Sasha, Solomon, Beau, Rufus and Hugo.

Any suggestions? Possible middle name/s will be Robert James I will also be prowling the baby names board for some other ideas in the meantime!

i mean this as kindly as possible but your vetoed names are awful. Cormack is ok, Calvin is horrid. Joshua is very popular, two in my daughter’s class. Frances? Jesus, no. Such a wet name. Max? Lucan? Rook?

Isn’t Frances the feminine spelling?

Rook?! (Siblings Jackdaw and Crow or Knight and Pawn?!)

How about Benedict, Jago, Jolyon, Kit, Horatio if you like out of the ordinary?

Rook isn’t my style but I was trying to think outside the box! Jolyon?! Horatio?! This is a PERSON!

I can see why you're having problems agreeing on something.

I really don't know what to suggest, I don't share name taste with either of you let alone a name that you would both like.

Maybe it was a typo but Frances is a female name. Did you mean Francis? It will quickly be shortened to Frank or Frankie if you don’t mind that.

I like your vetoed names but I wouldn't do Yves unless one of the parents was French speaking. I know a kid called Rufus and actually quite a few Hugos! Sasha is lovely.
